Herman, Herman, Herman. He is often very wise, but also often, well, not very wise. Of course, when he bumbles things, it isn't always his fault.
Herman was "made" in Germany around 1815, by Dr. Frankenstein. Dr. Frankenstein also likely made Herman's brother Charlie, as well. He was at Heidelberg University in several jars for some time, possibly before his creation. At some early age in Herman's life, he left Germany and went to England. He was adopted by the Munster family, hence his last name. He met Lily Dracula Munster, probably in Transylvania, and they were married in 1865. At some point he was also in the army.
Living at 1313 Mockingbird Lane, in Mockingbird Heights, USA. He lives with Lily, her father (Grandpa), his son, Eddie, and his niece Marilyn. Herman is the usual breadwinner of the family and works at Gateman, Goodbury, and Graves Funeral Parlor. Lily once claimed he started as a box boy, but Grandpa once claimed he started there as a nail boy. Whatever the case, "people are dying" to get in there (Herman once thought it to be because of their great lay-away plan). He also once drove the hearse (or Go-Go Wagon), and sometimes rides in the back of the hearse home from work. Other side jobs he took were ship welder, and laundry business worker.
Herman does often do silly things. He has been locked in a bank vault, and thought a monkey was a little boy. Grandpa is often involved in these as well. He is, though, a loving husband, father, and uncle. Eddie says he's his hero, and Marilyn did a big art project, a bust, of him. He needs Lily, even though they fight sometimes ("You're name is on all the bath towels. If I ever had to marry again, I'd have to marry someone named Lily.") He was once an amnesia victim, and once he had a disfigured face (he looked like celebrity Fred Gwynne).
